New frozen leafy vegetables range

This article was originally published in Foodnews

ITALIAN frozen foods company, Orogel, has launched Cubello Foglia Più, a range of leafy vegetables in cubes. The company uses a proprietary system that allows leaves of spinach, bieta erbetta (a type of Swiss chard), and cicoria catalogna (a type of chicory) to be laid on top of one another gently during processing, without subjecting them to stress. Orogel says this allows the leaves to remain whole and maintain their integrity during cooking, allowing them to retain the qualities of just-picked product. Available in 600g and 900g packs, the products are now available on the Italian market and are to be supported by print, TV and web advertising.
