AGRANA’s fruit preparations facility in Johannesburg, South Africa, is now operational. This is Agrana’s second site in the country and its third in Africa (it already has a factory in Cape Town and another in Cairo). The plant makes fruit preparations for the dairy, baking and ice cream products sector and initially will make some 4 000 tonnes of finished products annually. These are intended for the domestic market, but Agrana also intends, in time, to export.
