Nigerian fruit juice project

A NEW factory to produce fruit juice concentrates is being set up in Nigeria, with assistance from the World Bank. Professor Peter Onwualu, director-general of the country's Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has told local media that the plant will be established before the end of 2012. Nigeria has long resented its reliance on imported juice concentrates when it produces so much fruit itself. The Council is already organising training programmes for major fruit juice manufacturing companies in Nigeria as well as some interested government agencies.
