Setton taps solar power for pistachio processing

SETTON Pistachio, the second largest processor of pistachios in the US, has announced the completion of two solar power generation projects at its facility in Tulare county, California. The solar system has a combined capacity of 1.7 megawatts, reported The Business Journal, and the energy produced will be used to sort, roast and package up to 65 million lbs of pistachios each year, offsetting more than 1 880 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
