Jordan ban lifted

SAUDI Arabia has lifted a 21-year-old ban on Jordanian agricultural products, Bloomberg reported. Jordanian fruit and vegetable exports to Saudi Arabia are due to resume in mid-June, Jordan's Ministry of Agriculture said on 5 June. Jordan exported 213 228 tonnes of fruits and vegetables to Saudi Arabia in 1990, the last year produce was allowed to enter the country before allegations were made that Jordan used waste water for irrigation.
