MCCAIN Foods , the Canadian frozen food giant, has named Dirk Van de Put as its new president and chief executive officer, effective 1 July. Van de Put succeeds Dale Morrison , who is leaving the company after seven years at the helm to become a founding partner in a private equity firm. Van de Put became McCain's chief operating officer in May 2010. Prior to that, he worked for Swiss firm Novartis. McCain's chairwoman, Allison McCain , said the latest changes will enable the company to continue its focus on "growing the business around the world". McCain has annual sales of USD6 billion and has 20 000 employees in 50 plants on six continents.
