A NUMBER of suitors are understood to be planning potential bids for convenience food group Uniq. Irish food group, Greencore, which recently failed in its takeover bid for Northern Foods, is reported to be one of the companies preparing to make an offer for the sandwiches and chilled food group. Such a deal could value the group at up to GBP100 million (USD164 million). Last month, Uniq ceded control to its pension fund trustees, which claim that they have already received interest from a number of bidders.
