PERNOD Ricard has reported 7% organic sales growth to EUR5.9 billion (USD8.6 billion) for the nine months to 31 March 2011, with growth of 16% in emerging markets and 2% in mature markets. The French group's 14 strategic brands, which represent 59% of total sales, grew 7% in volume and 11% in value. Royal Salute Scotch (+26%), Martell Cognac (+25%), Jameson Irish whiskey (+22%), Perrier-Jouët Champagne (+21%) and The Glenlivet Scotch (+15%) all saw double-digit growth. Asia/Rest of the World remains the most dynamic region, with organic sales growth of 15% to EUR2.156 billion, representing 37% of total sales, up from 33%. Martell Cognac led growth in this region, and growth in China and India was "outstanding" (FOODNEWS 29 April).
