WITH an eye on the energy drinks market that grew almost 50% in Brazil last year, AmBev has launched its new Fusion Energy Drink, writes Vladimir Pekic . It contains guaranine, a natural caffeine extracted from guaraná fruit. "We sensed the possibility of presenting a new product in a category that is currently in full explosion in Brazil. Fusion Energy Drink only uses natural aromas and colours and does not contain preservatives," said AmBev's soft drinks innovation manager, Thiago Ely. Fusion Energy Drink is marketed in sleek 260 ml cans, in four or six-packs, across Brazil.
