SOFT drinks consumption in Bulgaria fell by 5% to 272 million litres between January and March 2011, due to the uncertain economic environment, according to the country's soft drinks association. This compares with a 7% drop in the equivalent period of 2010. Ice tea was the only category to register growth in the quarter (+6%). Bottled water (-4%), carbonates (-7%), fruit juices (-11%) and energy drinks (-5%) all fell.
