German cauliflower marketThis article was originally published in Foodnews
FRANCE is expected to supply fewer cauliflowers to the German market in April and May this year, compared with the high levels of a year ago, AMI reports. However, Italy looks likely to remain longer in the market than last year, and the first of the German winter-sown crop appeared in mid-April. Prices were weakening slightly in mid-April but remain at a good average level. The first German spring-sown cauliflowers are expected to be harvested in mid-May, which is earlier than usual.
