UNILEVER Multifrozen, a unit of Unilever's ice cream business, Algida, has inaugurated a HUF100 million (USD542 785) freezer warehouse for ice cream in Veszprem, north-west Hungary. In 2009, a HUF3.0 billion investment began at the Algida plant in Veszprem, the Budapest Business Journal reported. The programme is expected to be completed after two years, and will raise capacity at the plant to an annual 80-90 million litres of ice cream, from 45-55 million litres. The factory produces about 75% of Algida products, of which 92% are exported to western Europe.
