Continuous radiation testingThis article was originally published in Foodnews
SAMPLES of canned fish imports will be tested for radiation continuously, the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Authority said yesterday. Sri Lanka imports canned fish mainly from countries like Korea, China, Chile and Thailand. The authority is concerned about radioactivity in fish caught in waters that may have been contaminated by the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant. It will also continue to test samples of seawater and rain water for radiation.
