CALIFORNIA's 2010 grape acreage totalled 842 000 acres, according to a report by the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Of the total acreage, 792 000 acres were bearing with 50 000 acres non-bearing. Table grape acreage totalled 94 000 acres with 85 000 acres bearing. Flame Seedless was the leading table grape variety. Thompson seedless continued to be the leading raisin-type variety and was utilised for the fresh market, dried fruit, concentrate and wine.
