WESTERN Australia's largest mango plantation and Australia's largest red grapefruit plantation are for sale as administrators dispose of assets formerly owned by managed investment company Rewards Group, which went into receivership last year (FOODNEWS 1 October 2010) . A plan to save the mango projects in the Kimberley's Ord Valley has failed a total of 14 000 hectares is now for sale, reports ABC News. The receiver aims to conclude the sale by 30 June. The harvest of red grapefruit in the Ord Valley will continue this week as planned. Rewards Group owned a 120 000-tree mango plantation and an 80 000-tree red grapefruit plantation in the Ord Valley, plus a new AUD6.00 million (USD5.97 million) packing shed.
