USDA predicts increase in South African orange juice production

THE USDA is forecasting South African domestic consumption of FCOJ at 16 000 tonnes for the 2010/11 marketing year. The country's orange industry is geared heavily towards the fresh export market, so processors have to rely on left-over fruit, and as the USDA says: "Domestic data for frozen orange juice concentrate is unavailable in South Africa, given the highly competitive nature of the industry."
