Better quality dried apple

A LEADING Chinese supplier of dried and dehydrated apples has told FOODNEWS that demand for the product continues to be high in Europe and the US. "We have been working on quality instead of quantity in the past couple of years and our apples have been very well received by major importers," he explained. "In terms of price, Chinese intermediate moisture dried apples are running at USD4 000 per tonne, while low moisture dehydrated pieces are valued at USD5 000/tonne."
