Cliffstar buy boosts Cott

PRIVATE label soft drinks giant Cott Corp has recorded a 20% increase in filled beverage case volume for 2010 thanks to the acquisition of Cliffstar in August. Without the acquisition of the New York-based maker of juices, sports drinks, teas, and private-label beverages, volume would have grown 4%. Including Cliffstar, North America filled beverage case volume increased 8% and UK filled beverage case volume increased 2%. Mexico filled beverage case volume increased 32% due to new business wins and product introductions. RCI concentrate volumes increased 36%, primarily as a result of increased sales to existing customers.
