Skippy recalledThis article was originally published in Foodnews
UNILEVER has announced a limited recall of two Skippy brand peanut butters distributed in the US because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The affected products are Skippy reduced fat creamy peanut butter spread and Skippy reduced fat super chunk peanut butter spread, both in 16.3oz plastic jars under several use-by dates. Unilever initiated the recall following routine sampling, which revealed that these finished products may contain salmonella. No illnesses related to the issue have so far been reported.
