NEPAL-based conglomerate Chaudhary Group has acquired a 51% stake in Raybot Springs Mineral Water, the Nepalese company the produces the Thirst Pi and Thirst Ta brands. Chaudhary Group, which is involved in an array of industries from car-making to food, said the acquisition was a part of its plan to diversify into the natural spring water business. Raybot bottles and markets Thirst Pi and Thirst Ta in 500ml, 1-litre, 1.5 litre and 2.5 litre formats in a Nepalese bottled water market estimated at NPR500 million (USD6.8 million).
