NIGERIAN Bottling Company plc (NBC), the largest bottler of non-alcoholic beverages in the African country, is to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of its majority shareholder, Athens-based Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Co (HBC). The scheme of arrangement is being considered, and approval of the transaction is subject to final approval by NBC's board of directors and subsequent general meeting of shareholders. HBC currently owns 66.4% of the total share capital of NBC. The value of the proposed transaction is approximately EUR94 million.
