Coke India consolidationThis article was originally published in Foodnews
IN 2011 Coca-Cola India plans to launch nationally products it currently sells only in select markets. Brands like Minute Maid will be given greater distribution and the company's retail reach will be expanded by about 20% to 1.5 million outlets, Coke India's president Atul Singh told the country's Economic Times. "Next year will be a year of consolidation for us. We would like to tap the opportunity for still beverages in the smaller markets and rural India, which are fast getting urbanised."
