COCA-Cola's own output in Vietnam is not keeping up with demand, according to news sources. As a result, as much as USD900 000 has been spent by Vietnamese companies importing Coca-Cola products since the start of 2010. Coke's three Vietnamese plants have a total capacity of 608 million litres, and two further production facilities are currently under development. A company spokesman said imports will be "fully stopped at the end of next year" when improvements on production capacity are completed.
