Kronenbourg to pick upThis article was originally published in Foodnews
FRENCH beer market leader, Carlsberg-owned Brasseries Kronenbourg, expects higher revenue and profits this year following a turnaround plan launched in 2008. It sees 2010 revenue rising 1.5% from the EUR813 million reached in 2009. The French beer market, in which Kronenbourg has a 30.9% market share, has fallen annually by 1% for the past 20 years and 2010 should be no exception, the company said. Meanwhile, in the UK, where the brand is controlled by Heineken, Kronenbourg is to receive its first TV ad campaign for four years, featuring a version of rock band Motorhead's famous track 'Ace of Spades', specially re-written by the band.
