Juice firm must relocate

HOOD River Juice of Oregon must relocate by December 15 or be forced out of business after its current premises were found to be unable to correctly deal with wastewater. The owner of the juice and non-alcoholic cider firm, David B Ryan, has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour counts related to wastewater management in 2007 and 2009. It is understood Ryan intends to move the plant - which employs 110 workers -to the Port of Hood River and make it "a model for environmental compliance."
