UNION leaders representing striking workers at a Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc apple juice plant in New York (FOODNEWS 13 August) have agreed to return to the negotiating table following a call from US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union represents 300 full-time workers who have been on strike for more than 100 days at a Mott's plant in Williamson, New York state. At issue are wage and benefit cuts the company offered and that the workers rejected.
