SCOTCH whisky maker Benromach, owned by Gordon & MacPhail, has added two new whiskies to its Origin range. Benromach Origins Batch No. 2 was distilled in 1999 and has been fully matured in Port casks. Benromach Origins Batch No. 3, distilled in 2000, has been created using Optic barley then matured in Sherry casks. They will be available from retailers at around GBP38.50. Forres-based Benromach distillery is Speyside's smallest, and was acquired by Gordon & MacPhail in 1993, with bottling of the new malt commencing in 2004.
