PNA reduces number of licenced fishing days

PACIFIC tuna nations are to introduce a fishing-day trading system to help achieve the new limit they have placed on the size of the tuna catch from its waters. The Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA), a group of eight nations, have decided to reduce the combined total number of fishing days from around 40 000 this year to just over 28 000 next year.
