Monsanto and Argentine farmer group in no-till deal

Monsanto is to collaborate in Argentina on promoting the use of no-till farming. It has agreed a deal with the Argentine association of no-till farmers, the AAPRESID. The association has called the initiative Agricultura Certificada (Qualified Agriculture). Monsanto says the increased use of no-till practices in Argentina, including crop rotation, has reversed the process of soil degradation in the country. The AAPRESID set up its no-till programme last year.
