Canada reviews imazamethabenz-methyl
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposes that the herbicide, imazamethabenz-methyl, is eligible for continued registration, subject to some label changes. The PMRA requires a buffer zone of up to 1 m to protect sensitive plants in terrestrial and aquatic habitats. It also stipulates personal protective equipment and a 12-hour re-entry period to address occupational risks. Imazamethabenz-methyl is used in wheat and barley to control common wild oats ( Avena fatua) and some broadleaf weeds.
