Colombian 2006 market hits $390 million
The Colombian agrochemical market in 2006 was worth 897,902.7 million pesos ($395.1 million at 2006 rates), according to a Ministry of Agriculture commissioned study. That represents a 36.5% rise on the 2003 market, the last for which Agrow reported. Sales in 2003 were recovering following a decline from the 2002 peak of $303 million (Agrow No 495, p 16). The market research organisation, Econometria, carried out the latest survey among pesticide distributors and producers.
