Strong market growth predicted in 2008
The global agrochemical market in 2008 is expected to grow by around 29% in US dollar terms, equivalent to an increase of approximately 12% in euro terms, predicts Matthew Phillips of UK consultants Phillips McDougall. Speaking at the Informa Life Sciences’ “Crop Protection: Post Patent Products, IPR and Parallel Trade” conference, he outlined the crucial factors that led to a healthy growth of the market in 2007, a majority of which would play a role in future growth.
