Eden Bioscience to cease trading
The US biopesticide company, Eden Bioscience (Woodinville, Washington), has decided to cease trading. It plans to liquidate the company’s assets and wind down the business, subject to shareholder approval. Eden sold its proprietary harpin protein technology and most of its assets to Plant Health Care in 2007, while retaining rights to the biopesticide/growth stimulant in the home and garden sector ( Agrow No 515, p 1). Eden has continued to incur losses in that business and has been unable to realise any value from its other remaining assets.
